      1. Infrastructure Management 

      This is one of the clearest differences between the two options. 

      With Parallels DaaS, an organization connects its own Microsoft Azure subscription. Parallels provides the hosted control plane and tools for managing users, images, sessions, profiles, virtual machines, scheduling, and scaling.

      Ace Cloud Hosting includes more of the operational security layer within its managed DaaS service. Its published DaaS configuration includes MFA, encryption, intrusion prevention, CrowdStrike endpoint protection, Citrix Gateway, monitoring, and regular backups. 

      That does not remove the customer’s security responsibilities. Businesses still need appropriate user access policies, application governance, endpoint practices, and controls around their own data. 

      It does, though, change how much infrastructure security work the internal team must perform directly.

      Backup is another area where the service model matters. Parallels introduced Golden Image versioning on 3 April 2025, allowing administrators to restore earlier Golden Image versions. This is useful when managing desktop images, but image versioning should not be treated as a replacement for backing up business data. 

      Parallels’ published DaaS support scope also excludes routine product maintenance activities such as data backup. Since customer workloads and data reside within Azure, organizations need to plan their broader data protection and recovery approach around their own environment.
