Redirect Folder in Mac and Windows | Step-by-Step Guide

Let’s examine how to make folder redirection available on Windows and a Mac so you may upload and download files.

Mac: Follow the below mentioned steps to redirect folder in Mac.

Step 1: Using the provided credentials, launch the required RDP session on your Mac.

Step 2: Select Edit.

Step 3: Click the Folders tab.

Step 4: Check the box for Redirect folders and click the (+) icon at the bottom left to open the mac directory window.

Step 5: Select Desktop or Documents (or both) and click Open.

Step 6: To save the edit and dismiss the Edit box, click Save. Now that you have access to your local hard drive, you can download or upload files as necessary.

Windows: Follow the steps mentioned below to redirect folder in Windows.

Step 1: Right click on your Remote desktop application.

Step 2: Click Edit.

Step 3: Go to Local Resources and select More.

Step 4: Click the (+) icon for Drives category to view the list of storage partitions available.
